On Friday, June 5th, the McWhirter clan basically took over the House of Blues in Dallas for the Ryan Bingham and Flatlanders concert. We had so much to celebrate! First, Grant's cousin, Carly, got engaged! Her fiance, Adam, proposed on the Thursday before. It was so perfect! He surprised Carly with a boat ride on Lake Grapevine and cooked a gourmet meal (including filet mignon) and brought her ice cream from the place that they had their first date. He proposed at sunset (of course she said yes!) and had their families back home waiting for them to celebrate. I am so excited for them, this is going to be such a fun wedding! After the show, Joe Ely came out and was so gracious to chat with us. He was so nice and was bombarded by us for pictures, but was totally amenible to his fans. It really made the night! Jim, Joe, and Paul
