Wow! Well, this post is about 3.5 weeks late, but here it is! Can you guess why I have been unavailable to share crucial information about Rowan's development? Well, you have guessed it, she is on the move and wants to be in the middle of everything all the time. This is the quinticential (sp?) picture of what Rowan has been up to lately, she is exploring the world around her all the time!
At her 9 month appointment, she weighed 20.5 pounds (75th percentile), was 29.25 inches (96th percentile), and her head was in the 50th percentile. The biggest news of all is that she FINALLY has two bottom teeth that have sprouted out in the last 3 weeks and I can feel two coming in on her uppers too. She also mastered how to feed herself food from her tray, which is nice for me because I still am bottle feeding her myself. Yes, my daughter is 2 months shy of turning 1 and she still sits in my lap for a bottle. I guess I enjoy the cuddling time too much to concentrate on teaching her to drink.
She still babbles all the time..."ba ba ba, ra ra ra, da, da, da" but I dont think that she understands how to associate the words. The only word that she will really say good is "woof" when she sees the dogs.
She is also pulling herself up on everything! She loves to find chairs, doors, or anything that she can pull up on and stands up. Her favorites are the dishwasher, washing machine, bathtub, shelf (so she can pull all of her books off of it), and open drawers of her dresser (so she can pull all of her clothes out of it.)
We are having so much fun watching Rowan explore the world around her and cant wait to see what tomorrow brings!
